Step In To Nature

Nothing compares to the magnificence of nature in Iceland! Pack your hiking boots with good treads, plus warm and waterproof layers so you’ll be ready to explore some of the world’s most unique geologic features on foot.  Wait until you see what we’ll access via snowmobile, and then hiking into an amazing natural ice cave from there! While our hikes won’t be excessively strenuous, they’ll allow us to get out and truly experience nature in its most majestic form in Iceland, along pathways to some of the most amazing glacial formations, volcanic eruptions, waterfalls, and so much more.

Captivating Accommodations

Each of the hotels we’ve selected for our Iceland Exploration offer something unique to insure a great night’s sleep and wonderful meals. Comfort, Scandinavian style and functional simplicity abound. You’ll relax and unwind with the relaxed atmosphere of our downtown Reykjavik boutique hotel before moving on to two, truly one-of-a-kind properties that will take you to the edge of nature and the night sky.  Fall temperatures are perfect for exploring and sleeping peacefully, typically ranging from 30 – 45°F

Citylife & Creative Cuisine

From our initial stay in Reykjavik, we’ll explore key neighborhoods and sites in this capital city.  We’ll learn about the history and unique culture with our local guide and stops at local museums. Reykjavik offers a variety of restaurants to match everyone’s taste, having gained a great reputation for creative cuisine featuring local seafood, lamb as well as vegetarian options.  We have a special treat planned for our first night in the world of culinary delights – so take a look at the itinerary for details! Best to be prepared for a bit higher prices on food as some ingredients are imported across the sea to this island nation.

Illuminated Skies

When it comes to potential Northen Lights sightings, few countries offer what Iceland can during the months we’ll visit.  Get ready for truly dark night skies. We’ll take you on a Northern Lights safari adventure one evening, and then find ourselves staying at incredible hotels in remote areas where one can literally step outside to see the shimmering greens, pinks and purples of the Aurora Borealis in action!

Soak It Up

Geothermal heat is leveraged throughout Iceland for natural and manmade pools for soaking. In fact, daily soaks are a part of the local culture and the place to gather and catch up on the latest happenings. Beyond their social value, the hot water of Iceland is truly healing and a chance to warm the bones and the soul! We’ll enjoy time to soak it up and experience this classic aspect to Icelandic culture at our own private, mineral-rich lagoon at the world-famous Blue Lagoon.

Photographers Paradise

Whether you’re carrying a newer phone with excellent photo-capturing abilities, or you’re bringing a 35mm digital — get ready to capture the most stunning landscapes and geologic features, cultural highlights and photos of your smiling travel companions. Iceland provides incredible opportunities to test your talents and bring home images of the wonders you’ll explore.

Viking Heritage

Curious how Iceland got its name and who lived here so long ago? In addition to the museum curations we’ll discover in Reykjavik, we’ll come across many remnants of Viking culture along our travels. Watch for the unique housing structures, places of worship and settlements that have been preserved to honor Iceland’s hearty locals of long ago.

My 2025 Iceland Exploration: The Land of Fire and Ice is truly the adventure of a lifetime!  Jim and I can’t wait to share this extraordinary experience with those lucky travelers who say “yes” and register right away!

Cheers! Skál!
