Immerse yourself in a journey that supports your wellbeing on all levels:
physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.
Discover the timeless charm and contemporary edge of Finland’s capital city, Helsinki. We’ll then head off to historic Porvoo before venturing north into Finland’s ancient forests. You’ll relish the special selection of luxury, boutique hotels included in the program, from nights spent in the big city to a complete immersion in nature with the extraordinary glass igloo hotels up north.
Hike breathtaking trails during autumn colors, embrace the healing tradition of the sauna, forage for wild foods, savor today’s Finnish cuisine, and immerse yourself in the slower rhythms of nature alongside other inspiring women in our small-group travel journey. Discover the rituals and customs that create a relaxed and natural rhythm to life in this Nordic land, particularly in the fall season.
Nordic countries are in HIGH demand on a year-round basis in recent years as the home to some of the world’s most pristine landscapes and Arctic experiences. September offers the ideal season to tap into the forest and foraging activities available during cooler temperatures, while avoiding the colder winter months.

Explore. Learn. Unwind. Refill, Naturally.
This Exploration focuses on understanding and incorporating Finland’s strong cultural connection to nature. Allow your nervous system to unwind with Finnish practices used to steady your mind, body and spirit. Take in a cold plunge in the waters outside Helsinki, hike a trail surrounded by fall leaves in the National Forest up north, start your morning with a gentle yoga practice, stimulate your mind learning about Finnish food, customs and important traditions.

Truly See the Stars and Hunt for the Aurora Borealis
Of course, we’ve made time for one of my favorite Arctic region pursuits: to search for the Northern Lights in this Arctic region during the prime fall season. While we’re up north, you’ll have even more opportunities for night sky viewing and changing light right from the comfort of your bed inside our remote, igloo-style hotels. You’ll have that sense of sleeping out in nature, but with the comforts of a top quality interior.
This and SO much more awaits in my
Wild Finland Exploration: A Women’s Journey into Nature & Nordic Soul

Sauna Culture Rules
Sauna culture was born in Finland and is truly a way of life. The daily sauna rituals enjoyed by Finns throughout the country, are something we’ll experience ourselves in each stop along the way. Pair the heat with a cold plunge afterward and you’ll be stepping into the true Nordic lifestyle!

Life with Reindeer
Reindeer play a significant role in Northern Finland. We’ll visit an authentic reindeer farm to learn how the reindeer herders have managed their animals through seasonal cycles for hundreds of years. Later, we’ll explore other Lapland traditions with a crafting class centered around use of reindeer antler shed (Did you know antlers grow on both male and female reindeer? True!)

Forest Foraging
Foraging in Northern Lapland forests during harvest season is a highlight. Learn about the coveted berry and mushroom picking locations, how to avoid poisonous mushrooms, and of course, tastings! We’ve got several very special Finnish meals planned including a bathrobe dinner in the forest, and a Wild Food Feast Cooking Workshop by a lake.
Finland’s remarkable, vast wilderness makes our presence, humbling. Finns tend to love autumn season most, and once you’ve seen it, you’ll understand why.

Sensational Season
Fall time in the woods offers a chance to slow down, hike the trails, see the colors of changing leaves and take in the scents of the forest. This is the ideal time of year to witness the beauty of Northern Finland’s lakes, mountains, rivers and forests together (especially for those who aren’t a fan of winter season!) Our daily outdoor activities provide a continuous dose of peaceful time for reflection as well.

Fall Colors Abound
While nature’s timing for fall leaf “peeping” is never guaranteed, we are traveling to Finland during the ruska season. This is when the birches, rowans and Arctic plants typically turn to gold, orange and deep red. We’ve planned our Exploration dates to connect to historic peaks in Lapland colors. Nights are cooler, trails are quieter and the Northern Lights begin to appear as the darkness returns.
Finland offers its unique Nordic culture, history, lifestyle, customs and people—all waiting to be explored as colors pop in its endless forests. Join me for my very special fall season Arctic adventure!

My 2027 Wild Finland Exploration: A Women’s Journey into Nature & Nordic Soul is truly the adventure of a lifetime and I can’t wait to share this extraordinary experience in Finland with those 7 women who say “yes” and register right away!
Let’s travel together!
