My Splendors of Sicily Exploration was the perfect springtime season visit to Italy’s largest, and most southern island. Our program featured new experiences for our travelers focused on living “la dolce vita” or the good life. We sampled all kinds of delicious foods and learned to make a few Sicilian favorites in a cooking class. We toured the coastline on our private boat, and visited an herb and oil farm to discover how plants are incorporate into cooking in this region. No shortage of history with ancient amphitheaters and cathedrals, as well as a hike up Mt Etna and dropping down into an underground grotto. Beautiful vistas from our lovely hotels, and a great group of travelers who enjoyed getting to know one another in ideal weather conditions, and to explore the unique culture of Sicily!

Marty’s Essential Earth Explorations is simply an essential tool in your travel toolkit! Marty selects interesting destinations, beckoning you before you knew it was a possibility. I highly recommend her well thought-out itineraries, whatever destination she is headed for. This was my fourth Exploration with Marty. Her programs embrace all your senses from touching local fabrics to feeling the heartbeat of the locals, to hearing the native sounds be it church bells or chants, songs and even the hustle and bustle of busy streets or the serenity of a light breeze like we just experienced while relaxing in a suite looking over a privately owned olive tree farm. Let’s just call it discovery and exploring the most interesting touch points of a city or country. Tours from the hearts of owners, hands of artists, passionate tour guides knowledgeable about the area to making culinary magic in local couples’ homes make these experiences exceptional. Marty’s travel programs are a must consider and must do. I would recommend booking as early as possible as these are intimate group trips and you don’t want to miss out! I sure don’t!
